Postpartum Depression Kills

Knowing most of old folk will say, 

"Her religious belief is weak"

"She just wants attention and never thought it could kill her"

"Ah, I too have 4-5 kids of my own and she can't handle one?"

"She's weak"

"Her family did not do a good job raising her"

And some of the new gen come out with this questions,

"Where's the husband?"

"Why is the husband not helping her?"

"The family not helping her?"

Questions after questions, when we do not know the actual fact 'why' it happened.

But these questions, can no longer be answered.

Postpartum depression is REAL !

It's heartbreaking knowing a friend took her own life due to postpartum depression.

And she was a happy and kind of person that I know.

A firm believer too.

I'm still processing over her death.

And still can't believe she would take her life.

That happy and kind person.

12 May 2021 where the Movement Control Order 3.0 starts.

As for me, working in a construction/waste water industry, working time remains the same.  But with rotations as the government instructions at 60% capacity in the office.  Too bad my project site crew needs to work at 100%.  Well, they would not be at office all the time as they will be at site monitoring the subcontractor.

To a surprised that my rotation partner will be Kak Yus, Personal Assistant to Managing Director's Office.  As I thought that Kak Sha will be a better candidate to take care of the Managing Director's Office.  Oh well~  We came to an agreement of 5 working days as our Human Resource mentioned that we have to be "in office" every week.   Therefore our arrangement is from Thursday to Wednesday.  Woohoo~  7 days break before going back to work.

Well, 7 days at home does not mean I'll be productive (cleaning) at home.  But Aoshi has given me lots of encouragement on trying new recipes (via Instagram... Hey, it helps and wish me luck).  But I won't be cooking all the time as its only the 2 of us at home.  Still trying to pick up some new hobbies (as for now, plant some veggies at the balcony) and still trying to get myself to read more..

It's already 2021

With a blink of an eye, its already 2021.

I could say I'm amazed that I've survived marriage life ! *pat on the back* 

Thank you, Mavourneen for being patient with me and I hope you'll be patient for more years to come... And grow old too !

My 2020 resolution, I could summarized as follows:

1. Travel MORE

Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 that has occurred in our country, with first 3 months of lock down and with few stages of MCOs' until end of 2020.  We've managed to fly back to hometown for almost a week and come back home.  I could say, a couple of days later, MCO happened.  During the MCOs' days, we have only managed to do 1 staycation of 2 nights in the heart of KL (yea, during our anniversary). 

2. Spark Joy

My husband own a small unit of condo in KL.  A one bedroom condo. I love it because its easier to managed, no nonsense impulsive buying (so guilty on it. Especially when I stayed at my parent's), 

3. Learn to cook

Seriously.  My husband is a better cook than me. 

4. Be better, be thankful

I believe he has been very supportive.  He whispers his love and motivations to me.

NEXT, what's my goal for 2021 ?

1. Be Thankful

Need constantly to remind myself that I'm blessed with people around me.  May be bit of 'Spark Joy' for toxic & non-toxic people in my life...

2. More Activities with Mavourneen

I do enjoy walks and workouts with my other half.  As he make it more intense and fun.

This year will be a fruitful year too, and I know it !!

Zoo Walk 2020

Its happening the Zoo Walk 2020 !

Although its just a short notice (super short notice!)

I've decided (on behalf of Mavourneen too) to go on the 19th Dec (Saturday) for the sake to get over with.

Last time I went to the Zoo Negara, it was the year back 2014.  Aaah... Good ol'days...

The Zoo Negara did changed a lot!  Somewhat the route and there's additional buildings as well.

Ah, Tumblr...  I used to love that app as it has a zodiac reading, arts, comic (yes, they do have comics), recipes and getting ideas.  A platform that most of the time I need ideas and for the sake of looking at pretty things.  So, I have not login or use it for a long time.

And today, I've received an email from Tumblr on this:

It caught my attention and I was amazed with myself and the achievement.  So, I start to open up my Tumblr account.  Upon looking at the post 'Í've posted', the lots of Chinese ad.  God knows what it said or advertise.  All I see was pretty ladies and nice body figures.

Next thing I know, I deleted my Tumblr account due to panic moment that I had.

Year 2020

Back then, I would imagine of flying cars, high speed trains everywhere, clean & well sanitize public transports, non-slippery, dry & clean public toilets for the year 2020.

Look at it now, its already Year 2020!

1. Travel MORE

Hopefully I could travel to Japan this year before the oven starts baking.  Spring or fall would be nice...  But looking at China, there seems a virus coming up 2 months ago..  Well, saw that on FB few days ago.  Hopefully its not true.  YAY TO TRAVEL !  Right, I should discuss with my BFF FE on the next BFF travel. 

2. Spark Joy

KonMari method is still there.  Hopefully I could be more organised as my partner is an organised person.  (Unlike me. Bhahahaha)

3. Learn to cook

I admit.  I sucked at this.  As for now, Mavourneen has been very understanding (As he himself a good cook...) & let me explores on the various ingredients.  Again, thanks to my BFF on sharing some of the recipes on the cookbook app (No, I'm not a paid reviewer.  Its by experience with the app & I love it.  But, not paying for more...)

New Job, New Journey

Countdown to new job !

I guess God placed me somewhere outside O&G industry for a new knowledge and experience !  This time it's a water, construction & sewerage industry ?

Looking at the brightside, it's super close to my mom's place.  

I used to drive to Brickfields, KL and it took me at least 30-45 minutes to arrive at the office (excluding traffic).  Back there working time started around 0830 hours and ends at 1730 hours.  Just imagine I need to get out from the house before 0700 hours.  Sometimes I need to stayed longer due to crazy traffic around the area.

I do missed the shopping complex near me and the public transport access.  And soon !  I shall wake up and take my own sweet time to get ready and can still be at home until 0800 hours.  Cool eh ?  It only takes like 15-20 minutes to get to the new office.  The closes shop around the area its a bit dead tho...  Hopefully the new colleagues could share me the closest lunch place and what not.

More goals for this year, I guess...

To workout consistently
As for now, I have badminton activity very Friday night.  Not bad eh ?  Different group tho... As my ladies are busy with their job.  Kind of doing upper body during the day & lower body during the evening.

Travel more !
For this year, I think I already have plans for the 1st quarter of the year.  I mean from February until April 2019.

Get a job ?
I have not been working since October 2018.  I've been helping my mom on cleaning up (KonMari mode ON!  Spark Joy~) around the house.  It does takes time to do it as we do have disagreement on the arrangements of the furniture, things, etc etc.

Get my blog done
I think I've been saying this for quite awhile... (Damn you procrastination !)  have few blog been typed on and have yet to post it as I write it half way through.  Yes, I'll finish it before getting myself to work !

KonMari method for people
I guess cutting off people who gives you no "spark joy" was a good thing.  Well, see how it goes...

Trip to Boracay, Philippines (Day 1)

Alright ! One resolution list, strike off~  It has been awhile that I have a gateway with part of #WolvesGatewayWithItWhenShepherdsDoNothing team.  Next stop, Boracay Island, Philippines.

Yea, I know that the hashtag is super long.  I blame the guys for it. (Of course, they always come up with a sketchy names or hashtags...).  I think the member consist of 4 members and I just tag along with it (nope, I'm still not a member for it).  These are the members...

Anyhow back to the trip... Yes, the Boracay Island trip.  It was suppose to be Achong's colleague/acquaintance group trip.  Due to some of them pull out from the trip due to personal matters, Achong invited the #WolvesGatewayWithItWhenShepherdsDoNothing team and me.  And out of the 3, only Mel and me could make it for the trip from 12 until 16 October 2017...

My god, upon arrival at the Kalibo (KLO) Airport, we had to take a shuttle van for 3-4 hours to the jetty.  Believe me, it was tiring as Achong group are quite big (well, I'm not used to big crowds). I could say, 11 seater van including the front ?  I managed to get myself a single seater which is so near to the van door.  Just in case I need to do combat roll. (I push all the b*tches to non single seater seats...  Lucky me!).

After the bumpy ride from the airport to the jetty.  We got a 10 minutes ride to Boracay Island.  Sure its a breeze~

The Island itself, its small and beautiful !!!  I wish I could have a villa here~  (Yea right, the day I have a villa in Boracay Island, its the day that I managed to kidnap a prince/princess and got a ransom monehhh).  Love the temperature and the vitamin SEA!!  Didn't know the accommodation would be awesome too !  Look at the chalet !!!  Its HUGE & spacious (Er... Just the bottom level not the whole chalet) !!!  Thank god I shared with Ms Bella.

The beach ?   Please.  It's just right in front of you (Of course that you need to walk a bit tho...).  I love the weather when we were there.  It was windy and cloudy.

Gosh, Achong's group its such an easy and chill type.  So its up to us to make our own plans or follow with them, ISLAND HOPPING~  So, I decide to follow with their plan as I'm not an initiator type of person.  If I were to make plans... I'll be at the beach. *giggle*  They do have a bar hopping activity tonight and Md Azri and I are not up for it.  As I do not know the crowd much.  While Md Azri busy videocall with his girlfriend...

Its windy tonight as well.  I hope that tomorrow's weather gonna be fun and welcoming.

Tower 3 Firedrill

2 years in this company.
We never had a fire drill exercise.
Until today.

One of the colleague got too excited for the drill

Thank fully, no one panicked.

It was the opposite, they're seems happy with the drill.

Fire drill = stop work in commence.

Its a way down from level 20...

After we reach at god-knows-what-floor-was-that, there was a firetruck and ambulance right outside the building.

Yes, I was amazed by it.

Anyway, it was a fun walk with Ms Rachel. :)

Took us around 45 minutes - an hour for them to release us from the assembly area.

It is fun when one of your awesome friends birthday is around the corner.  Especially when that person asked you to do something odd for their birthday.

That would be Kelly Thorn.  A cheerfully and happy-go-lucky type of girl suddenly asked us as her birthday gift.

She wanted a "Kelfie "... Kelly + selfie... Genius!

What she meant was... A selfie post with a birthday message to her.  And the results was... Various...  Love you, girl !

Wake-boarding

Before the action

Never in my mind that I would try this sport. Wake-boarding. Kelly asked me and the gangs out for water sport.  What concern me most was that, I can't swim.  I did try to learn to swim but I'm only at diving and drowning.  As she ensures me that there will be life-jacket provided for people who can't swim.  Woohoo !

I'd asked her, on the location.  As I was very sure that there are no nearby location that could do such sport...

Hey, they do teach you on how to glide for the first time !  Balancing, check ! Life-jacket, check !  Handling... Oh gosh, for first few attempts I have difficulties on the grip.  As the boat pulls, I was surprise on the force... It took me awhile to learn how to grip the handling properly.

It's December?!

I have changed my job back in Sept 2012.

So many events going on in my life and I do not have the time to write.  6 month has passed since my last post and it's already December..

Merry Christmas to my friends that celebrate this jolly day!!

All of my events, I could only managed to post the photos on Facebook.  I'm proud of my achievement this year.

I did not asked too much of what to expect this year but hey, I've got it through!  You may check it out at Year 2013 post resolutions.

Yes, I pampered myself this whole year with manicure, pedicure and wax!  Tee-hee...

Places I've been this year for leisure...  Langkawi, Johor and Krabi! Hehehe....  Managed to travel domestic and international this time!  So many memories...  Hope that I could travel more on 2014!

My bff, FESJ...  She's now pregnant 5 months with twins!!   Oh, I hope it's a pair!  Can't imagine if she's would want to travel with her twins around.  Love her so much!

With this technology in my hands, I think I could start to blog more!  Yay!
